Youth Forums in four Municipalities
From April 4 to 11, 2023, within the framework of the project Civil Society STAR Initiative: CSOs as Sustainable, Transparent, Accountable and Resilient Development Actors in Georgia, youth forums were held in 4 municipalities of Shida Kartli, organized by the Regional Hub of Shida Kartli – Society Biliki.
Young people, volunteers, teachers, and representatives of educational resource centers participated in the forum. The purpose of the forum is that youth should actively involve in the Shida Kartli region to solve the problems of the local community, and to promote the culture of volunteering. Within the framework of the forum, young people divided into small groups, together with the facilitators developed the project ideas. Youth, who participated in the forum planned the initiatives, the purpose is to promote public awareness of the usefulness of European structures, popularize the role and culture of volunteering, increase awareness of media literacy, and promote informal education among young people. The youth discussed the partner organizations and stakeholders with whom they will have active cooperation. Approximately 120 youths participated in the forum.
The meeting was held within the framework of the project “Civil Society STAR Initiative: CSOs as Sustainable, Transparent, Accountable and Resilient Development Actors in Georgia“(2021-2025). The project is funded by the European Union (EU) and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS). The works of Shida Kartli Regional Hub are run by Society Biliki.
